Hi

Having recently upgraded my Sky STB to a Pace DS-230 (from a DTH-310) to take advantage of the component out, I now have a problem with the infra-red repeater system in place, i.e. ir receiver in one room feeding through to an ir emitter stuck on the front of the STB in another room.

I understand this may be a problem with either the frequency of the Pace's ir (approx 38khz I beleive) and/or interference from the plasma.

Any suggestions to work around this issue?
Will the "TV Link" device (Hills I think) work in this situation?  Actually does the Pace DS-230 even have an RF2 output?

Cheers

This is a real pain. We have MySky and it is in a closet behind the tv because the tv is a plasma one mounted on the wall. The IR repeater doesn't work very well. I think that this is the decoders problem as I have had problems with univrsal remotes working at all with MySky. The IR repeater has to be positioned perfectly, and I mean PERFECTLY. When we first got the repeater, we thought that it was broken, but, after a lot of fiddling, we managed to get it to work but if it is bumped slightly, it stops working and has to be repositioned.

The best thing would be to see if Sky can recommend anything.

Can't beat the burble of that American V8. Ohh yea!
