Hi guys,

I'm looking for a dual or Quad Dvb-t tuner that has Linux support for use with MythTV. I'm looking for a pci-e one as I'm limited with pci slots on my motherboard.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

Your help is appreciated :)

www.tbsdtv.com they sell DVB-T tuners (dual for certain, not sure about quad). I am using their DVB-S2 6981s at present.

As far as I can see they only do DVB-S and other variants, I'm looking for a DVB-T Tuner, but thanks for the link.

The 6285 looks to be Quad DVB-T2 which should work fine with DVB-T, otherwise the BlackGold tuners have a good reputation but aren't cheap.

This does look promising - Does anyone have any experience with running these under Linux? I can see it does state Linux support but I'd want to make sure that was supported before spending over $200NZD on a card.

I thought I'd seen DVB-T/T2 cards from them before... TBS must have discontinued the development as they're not on the website, but I guess you can still purchase them until stock expires.

I've got a HVR2200 which works well, subject to reception. My reception is a bit borderline for the built in splitter.

Also look at the HVR2250

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

This looks like the most promising card so far - Total its not going to be the cheapest but its fairly well documented which is going to be a big big plus when it comes to running it on linux.

I'm a fan of Ubuntu and from what I can find its fairly well supported from 12.04 onwards.

At the end of the day I'm looking to have a 4x tuners to tune to 3x NZ Broadcasts (TVNZ, Mediaworks and Kordia). Price is relative to what I need to get to get the job done well.

To be honest I wouldn't bother with PCI/PCI-e tuners any longer, IPTV based products are superior in many ways and don't limit you to needing a large PC with slots.

Unfortunately this build will need a PCI/PCI-e tuner. But thanks for the suggestion.

Definitely not discontinued. Just never specifically listed in their website product section for some reason. You can get them here:
