This should fix the bugs people are having with their scheduled recordings disaparing also fixes a couple of other things:

Issues that this update resolvesThe update for Media Center TV Pack for Windows Vista resolves the following issues:
Media Center crashes after you replace a TV tuner.
The guide data in Media Center stops downloading.
Recordings on systems that have in-band schedule data are split into multiple recordings.
Scheduled recordings disappear from Media Center.

Good!

Although I've been using the sky epg on VMC (as per Satch's instructions) and have had no problems with scheduled recordings. About time they fixed it so you dont have to do that though

So has anyone given this a go? If it finanally fixes the issues with the guide data from freeview then I think I will jump. But I need to have it confirmed first. Taking the media centre down for a day is not something I want to do if it does not work...

I saw that on TGB yesterday too and was wondering if it would work for NZ.

I've just rebuilt my HTPC completely (started with a reinstall of Vista) because it was turning into a dog and locking up all over the place. And again I've gone through my procedure to set up the guide using the encrypted Sky feed as per my instructions (which are not all that clear, with a few typos I must say! I should get around to fixing that up).

But I will have to persevere with my workaround for the non Freeview channels as the Sky ones still wont update unless I watch them for a minute each day.

So who has installed the update and tested it with the Freeview channels?

I'll get this loaded tonight and report back as I'm forever losing my series recording settings and individual show recordings overnight. I was baout to jump to Mediaportal or GBPVR because of this hassle, although the lack of a simple sky guide solution might still tip the balance.

A bit off topic but why are you guys using TV Pack rather than standard Media Center? You all had guides and Sat working before didn't you? Just out of curiosity.

Yes I can confirm it works, I have not lost any scedualed recordings since installation...

The only issue, was on installation...I previously only had the Simpsons and Southpark series scheduled for recording, but after installing the update, I noticed in the EPG there were programs booked I had not choosen...
I went into the 'view scheduled' screen, and simpy removed these offending programs (there were only a couple).

Thats aside, it now shows and records all scheduled recordings as its suppose to and nolonger looses them.

VMC in its standard/current form does not support a NZ EPG or Satellite natively...with the inclusion of the TV Pack, it does.
That means by using the TV Pack, no external programs are required for viewing Satellite, or any hacks to receive NZ EPG data.

I already have this working flawlessly (touch wood) on my home Media Center, so not sure if I will upgrade it. It does how ever mean we can finally sell media PC's with a legal soultion for a guide and that work with any satilite LNB.

I'm just in the process of rebuilding the HTPC so I'll give it a go tomorrow.
Also added a second DVB-S card so I'll test recording/watching 2 things at once, not sure if this has ever been a problem.

That is good news.. are you using the method of downloading the epg data from sky or direct using the freeveiw data?

Also the TV pack allows you to have different sources ie DVB-T DVB-S and serveral cards of each. For me that is a big plus as I want to setup both freeview on DVB-S and get a feed from the telstra STB. Up till now to do that needed major stuffing around and I personaly never got it working.

I am downloading my EPG data direct from Freeview.

And yes I can confirm that all my scheduled programs have recorded the full length of the scheduled programs.
