Hi I have been landed with one of the Pinnacle PCTV 7010ix tuners, it is dual DVB-T/Analouge and Dual DVB-S. Has anyone used these in Vista Media Center, am wanting to get the DVB-S working but am not having much luck finding any info on the net (can't find any product info on the manufactyrer's website). Are there pre-TV Pack drivers/patches for the DVB-S tuner like the Hauppauge products? As TV pack is no good, I am wanting to use this instead of Hauppauge Nova-S  tuners.
Benifits of this over Nova-S:Hybrid - aparantly can record 2x Sat and 2x DVB-T (future for windows 7) simaltaniouosly.Dual DVB-S tunner on one cardPCI Express rather than PCI.
But can it work in Vista Media Center Pre-TV pack as a DVB-S freeview tuner?

Why is Tv pack "no good"?

It should be easy to set up dvb-s with tv pack as there is native support (unlike pre-tv pack)

You are right it is very easy to set up, but the issues with the guide are unexceptable, ie partial recordings etc. This is why it needs to be set up pre-tv pack. Thanks

Hi nzwogboy, how did you get on with this card? I am looking for this model myself, where did you find it?

Or are you keen to swap for a NOVA T 500 and a HVR3000?

Cheers,

It's not mine its a mates, he just wanted me to set it up for him, after doing some more research it doesn't looko like it works pre-TV Pack, will get back some time to try with Win 7. Not sure where he got it from sorry. Will try and find out.
