Hi Guys,

I have a laptop, fitted with a touchpad. Unlike other laptops, mine does not select and open files, when you tap on the touch pad. I was wondering weather it is possible to turn on this Touchpad Tab Clicking??

Cheers

Which OS and laptop model do you have? For Linux, you can use 'qsynaptics' to enable support for tapping. For Windows, I'd have no idea, but would have guessed that there is something in the settings that can control the touchpad behaviour?

Cheers

It will depend on what touchpad (and related software) is installed on the particular computer, but it should be found in Control Panel>Mouse.  I can't figure out how to post a screenshot of my version (must figure that out one day) - a Dell D505 with an Alps touchpad - but, suffice to say, there is a tab in mouse properties called "touchpad" (surprise, surprise!) where you can toggle tapping on/off.  Hope that helps in your case.
