Hi, a friend of mine is desperately looking for a laptop recommendation please. The budget is $1300.

At this rate I know beggars can't be choosers but ideally he would like something that can do some level of video editing/processing, light room+ uni work ...etc.

What is the most grunt that you can help for 1300?

Any help would be appreciated.

Lenovo are a good brand, look at their website. I've found Toshiba good as well.

I recently purchased this and would recommend it:

Core i5, 8GB RAM, SSD, 13" 1920x1080 touchscreen, thin and light.

Sign up for their mailing list to get a further 5% off, which takes it down to $1,329.

You can't really do video editing and lightroom on a 720p screen, no matter how powerful the CPU
