Repeaters are illegal in New Zealand, unless you're using the Sure Signal - but you must be a Vodafone mobile and broadband customer to use one.

Vodafone NZ offer Sure Signal (Femtocell)

http://www.vodafone.co.nz/mobile/3g-sure-signal/

If you use one of the devices linked off to that dodgy website you are breaking the law and can be tracked down and fined

That site is so dodgy it has no INFO about the people you are dealing with where they are located or anything, You are only asking for trouble dealing with them,

Sorry to hijack thread but are there any plans to make the SureSignal available to people that dont have Vodafone broadband? There are some people that I know could use one but can only get satellite or dial up where they are.

How do you expect a Sure Signal to work over either of those?

With 512Kb/s combined upload?  And satellite latency?  Yeah nah, that's not going to happen.
