Hi,
Currently with Vodafone and looking to switch to spark. Current plan includes a virtual land line number that goes to my mobile.

I want to go on the $79 open plan with Spark but need to have the virtual number (paying extra is OK) and need both mobile and virtual numbers ported to spark.

I have been into two Spark shops and they said they couldn't help as virtual number "might" be a business option and they only do consumer, sent an email with no reply and tried to use the live chat three times to no avail.

Anybody know if this can happen?

How much are you currently paying and\or expecting to pay? You could port to something like 2talk then setup call-forwarding straight to mobile, no idea how the costs compare though.

I believe they do do it, however it is quite expensive in comparison.

It's not a business feature - it's a feature of a number of their high-end plans. Sounds like Spark Business would be your best bet though - have you tried giving them a call? Let us know how you get on as I'd be curious to find out if those local numbers can be ported,

As an aside I had a local number on Voda and switched my mobile over to Spark without doing anything about the local number. The local number still worked for about 18 months but is finally disconnected now.

As Stated above your best bet is probably to talk to Spark business. They do a "Ultra business $70.00 plan" excluding GST I assume which is basically the same as the consumer $79.00 plan it excludes Spotify but includes landline on mobile. I assume you are on a business plan with Vodafone as to the best of my knowledge Vodafone only offer landline on mobile on business plans. There should be no issue porting both numbers certainly 2 Degrees would do it so cant se why Spark wouldnt

I find the guys at the Spark Business Hubs really good to deal with - particularly with stuff around when to port particular numbers.

thanks for the advice, I gave the Business Hub a call and a few emails later have successfully transferred over to Spark. The business plan is basically the same as the $79 Open plan but switching out Spotify for the Virtual Land line and $10 bucks cheaper, which is a great result.
