Hi,
I just received a letter through the door saying that my 150Gb VDSL isn't offered anymore and that they were automatically moving me to an unlimited account.

I purposely (rightly or wrongly) did not want the unlimited account when I set it up as rumours of throttling and slowdowns etc.

What are the difference between the two plans and does anyone have any feedback on the plans? We are heavy data users.

There's no throttling. That was a thing of the past except for vodafone.

Heck, you might want to consider moving to bigpipe as they don't even have the ability to throttle you at all.

The difference is a 150GB data cap vs no data cap.

thanks, so no shaping good and the only difference is the data cap then it sounds like a no-brainer. assuming that if you use 150gb a month that this will be treated as in line with any fair use t&C's?

I don't think you get a free Static IP with the unlimited plan, but from a network point of view there is no difference between the 150/500/unlimited plans (or the 40/80/whatever else is available on the fixed network)

Pretty sure there isn't a fair use policy in place. 150GB is tiny anyway.

No Fair Use T&Cs according to the offer summary, so you should be all good there.
