Moved from a house with ADSL2 to a property with UFB. ONT is installed, and previous tenant was using UFB. When I notified Spark about the house moved I asked to be upgraded to UFB, but the reps I talked to insisted that first my ADSL2 needed to be moved and then request the upgrade. Ok, fair enough, I asked to be connected to ADSL the same day I was moving in, received the TXT message confirming that I was connected but when I plugged to ADSL modem no connection, and no dial tone from the telephone sockets either (not sure that's relevant to get ADSL tough).
Talking to 123 and telling my story several times has been a waste of time so far and after running the troubleshooting steps (turn the modem off and on again, reset it to factory settings,...) "the only thing they can do" is to send a tech and charge me if "it's my fault".
I wonder if the reason I don't get ADSL is because the previous tenant was using UFB, and if there's anything I can do to get broadband before I connected to UFB.
