Hey everyone

I switched from Vodafone to Bigpipe the other week. I just kept my HG659 modem from Vodafone and used it with Bigpipe.

I finally got around to changing the firmware on my ex-vodafone HG659 from the Vodafone firmware to the Bigpipe firmware. Just wanted to let everyone know that this has fixed my speed issue. When I was using the Vodafone firmware I was only getting a download speed of around 27mbps and an upload speed of 15mbps when connected through my modem with an ethernet cable. But now I have change over to the Bigpipe firmware. Now I get a 92.84mbps download speed and a 18.53mbps upload speed. Both times I did the speedtest with the Auckland Spark connection. This is great! Just wanted to let you know in case it is helpful for others.

Peace!

P.s. This is with the UFB starter connection

Has to be more to it than the firmware update as my friend connected to Vodafone fibre using the HG659 gets 100 down and 20 up and has since day 1 of having fibre

From reading your post you must of had a speed profile issue,
