On the CDMA network I had Number Withhold setup on my account to permanently block my number from being displayed on caller ID.  As I wanted certain people to know when I was calling them, I would dial 0196 before their number and my number would be displayed.  Is there a different prefix to dial on XT? 0196 doesn't appear to work.

To invoke CLIR for a single call enter:
? # 31 # SEND ?

To suppress CLIR for a single call, enter:
? * 31 # SEND ?

CLIR = Calling Line Identification Restriction

Because you have Number Withhold permanently ON then you'll need to dial *31# to allow your number to be presented.

Have you tried the usual GSM commands/settings that will be in the phone menu to withhold your CallerID?
