NBR article I picked up this morning.

Read the comments!! There is a real war going on here, people accusing VS of spinning things (and Telecom!), even accusations that they are posting false comments in order to get techs to sign on with VS with propaganda and scare tactics - wow!

What I found particularly interesting was one comment regarding the title of the article:

"original title

The original title of this column was something like " Telecom: we're celebrating!" After 3 or 4 responses NBR realized they were duped by Chorus/VS and changed the title. I applaude them for catching this overt one-sidedness which makes me realize they are concerned with the integrity of this site, not just placating the powers-that-be."

As an ex Post Office/Telecom tech myself I can really empathise with these guys, and I am not surprised about the support they are getting from the other regions/patches.

From the posted comments to this article it would appear that we nead to hear the truth - I know who I believe!

TUANZ's Earnie Newman has waded into the issue.

From the article:

“Tuanz doesn't have a view on the industrial issue - this is not our turf. But we do most certainly have a view on customer service. On that basis we give Chorus credit for being proactive in minimising disruption to customers. Well done.”

Obviously Mr Newman hasn't read the comments associated with the other NBR article, which hints at the deterioration of customer service due to the ongoing industrial action.
I would also have thought that TUANZ should have a view on the industrial issue - again, this is something that will affect customer service.

Either they have signed up enough people or they haven't I'm sure everyone will find out for sure soon enough once they take over the service.
