Hi! All:

I was on Telecom BigTime plan since this May. Since it is going to be finished, I am thinking to move to another ISP. Called Telecom today. They said we would not be charged for terminating the broadband service. But, we NEED to pay 99 bucks for terminating the telephone line.

This is now getting ridiculous, as the broadband and telephone were signed up together as a package. and as far as I remember, switches/terminates telephone line should be free of charge, right? I've paid 50 dollars to connect telecom because of BigTime, now they are looking for another 100 bucks because they end their broadband plan.

Any one has similar problems with Telecom?

Is your package total home? I can't find any info on phone line disconnection fees on their website, didn't think phone lines came with fixed terms

I think it is "Total Home Starter Big Time".

That is exactly what I mean. There is nothing coming on top of my head says fix term telephone line.

The Total Home Big Time early termination fee was removed as with other Big Time based contracts. I am also unaware of a $99 ETF.

You can PM me, I can look into this for you.

Cheers
Tony
