I got this message promptly after asking a question. I am a noob obviously and the email was a concern. Is this normal? Should I do anything about it or just delete it? I am a bit reluctant to check it.

This is normal. If it was you, please click "YES" to confirm.

Behind the scenes we use a service called ThisData. We log activities and machine-learning algorithms work to detect any strange activity in our user accounts. If anything suspicious or "unknown" happen then the user gets an email.

If you click "NO" then all sessions are logged out and the IP address blocked for 24 hours. This helps prevent account hijacking.

If you want to check your account status, we have a simple page that will tell you here.

To check if your email or password have been part of a breach (Yahoo, Adobe, LinkedIn and others), check Have I been pwned.

For increased security remember to use unique passwords, different for each service.

Where possible, enabled two factor authentication (2FA) using an app such as Authy. You can enable 2FA on Geekzone via your profile page.

Thanks. Not using laptop as being sick for the last five days now... Throat, nose don't agree with each other it seems.
