Several friends have signed up for Vodafone's Wireless Home Phone after being told they can use that in their Mobile Home anywhere in the country.

This seems to contradict the terms and conditions on the Vodafone website which state that you'll only use it at the address specified when you signed up for the service.

Can someone please confirm what the policy is?

I bought one of these for my parents as a low-cost alternative to a landline.  For the first 90 seconds I think it is after initial switch on, the base station figures out which cell site it is connected to, and thereafter, you are locked to that site.  If you move somewhere else, you can pay a fee and have it unlocked again for 90 seconds, rinse and repeat.  However, I don't think it is going to be feasible for a motorhome which is constantly on the move.

So are HomePhone Wireless users free to move around then John?

Or is the base station still locked to a cellsite?
