I've been playing DayZ Epoch on the Zero Remorse servers based in Australia (Sydney I think) for the last 5 weeks with a ping of about 40-45. At about 9pm last night (July 1) I was kicked from the server for a high ping. My ping to the server is now about 290-300ms. Nothing has changed at this end and now I cannot join the server without being kicked.

Ive Tracerted the server (119.252.191.147) using WinMTR and here are the results...

Im on Vodafone Cable (ex TelstraClear)

the problem seems to be with i-0-5-2-0.hkth-core01.bx.telstraglobal.net

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks

This may or may not be your issue, but TelstraClear has historically had some terrible routing.

thanks for the replies.

Is this something that will eventually get corrected?

Also, unrelated - why is my post appearing like word wrap is turned on?

it will get corrected, i wouldnt hold your breath till its fixed though might take awhile. - vodafone have a history of issues with peering, particularly to game servers in AU.

I much prefer that pain than 'You have been kicked from the Server for reason: High Ping' :)
