Hiho,

Was just wondering if anyone else was suffering similar things.. Recently, 4 out of 5 times (and progressively getting worse) when someone tries to call me or my family from and international location (so far Tasmania, Africa and China) we pick up the phone and only hear slight static and the odd click. According to the person trying to call (well, according to the one person who finally got through), all they hear is the phone ringing continuously until it gets cut off (presumably when we hang up due to not hearing anyone on the other end of the line). Calling International does not seem to be an issue so far.

We contacted Teslstra clear about this, and were given a number to call to get the last incoming call number, but this does not work with international calls. All local (National) calls are fine. So far, the solution from Telstra is for the people calling to keep trying until they get through... how we tell them this when they can't get through in the first place is a bit of a mystery, but moving on. Is this some strange routing issue? Anyone else have the same problem on Telstra phone/cable accounts?

Cheers,

Matthew

Any international call issues should be logged with the A party

Yes, I understand this and for what it is worth, one person is attempting do just such a thing (every tried getting anything done in Ghana?). However, I just find it odd that the same fault seems to be occuring from multiple, and geographically diverse points. The call at least makes it as far as my phone, but my pickup just does not seem to find it's way back. I just worry that I may not be getting calls from my famliy overseas (as they tend to call primairly in emergencies). Ah well.. I gess nowt can be done.
