Does anyone have the settings required to connect to VDSL? I saw there were a few previous forums about this, but the links to the settings have expired. Any help greatly appreciated.

Dual wan is set to off
Primary wan set to Ethernet wan LAN port 4

Wan connection: PPPOE
Enable wan: Yes
Enable Nat: Yes
Enable upnp: Yes
802.1q Enabled
Vlan ID: 10
802.1p: 0

Get wan ip automatically: yes
Connect to dns server auto: yes
PPP username: aaa
Password: aaa
Mtu 1492
Mru 1492

Thanks for that, apologies I should have said I looked at the VF settings page.
The options for wan connection type on the router are:
Automatic ip
Static ip
Pppoe
Pptp
L2tp

Vodafone do NOT use PPPoE on VDSL2.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

For VDSL it won't be an Ethernet (RJ45) port.

Are you sure your router is VDSL capable? I can't see it mentioned on the spec page, and it looks like it only has RJ45 and USB ports (which would imply no DSL capability).

The router has a dsl port but the VDSL connection only fit a network cable.

You have to make a cable with an RJ11 connector and use the DSL interface. Only Fritzbox users get away with your shortcut.

Ah, yeah I had forgotten about that whole VDSL port mismatch thing. Also, I was looking at the RT-AC68U specs instead of DSL-AC68U which was why there was no DSL port listed 😅

As @Spyware said, you'll need an RJ11-RJ45 cable (an RJ11-RJ11 would also work, but it might be a bit loose at the wall end so not recommended). Once that is sorted, you should be able to get it working with the Primary WAN set to DSL and WAN connection as Automatic IP.

The only other change to those settings I personally would make (but it won't affect your connection) is to disable UPnP - while it can be a pain to forward ports when you need them, having UPnP enabled can be a security risk as it allows any device (or software running on those devices!) to open ports in your firewall.

Definitely not recommended, this one of the biggest causes of xDSL faults also it damages the pins in the socket so if you ever want to convert to ethernet one day it is replace the keystone

Yep the plastic sides of the RJ11 body hold wipers 1,2 and 7,8 beyond their normal sitting height for an extended period, that permanently bends them, resulting in a damaged RJ45 for ethernet purposes.

There are special RJ11 bodies that have slots in the side case so the ping 1,2 & 7,8 wipera are not held back, just for that purpose.
