This question applies to all the mobile network operators. When 2G / 3G is turned off (eventually) , what will be done with the spectrum currently used for those services?

If the bands in question are re-used for 4G / 5G, are most handsets capable of using that service on that band?

Yes the spectrum will be refarmed for 4G / 5G I suspect this is already happening

2degrees already uses 5Mhz of 900Mhz for 4G / LTE

Handsets have supported these bands for a number of years on 4G / 5G
