Im moving into a new apartment which is in the center of auckland cbd, actually 2 blocks from the worldxchange office, my question is what Speed would I expect since alot of people here seem to get poor speeds but are from more rural areas if my location is dead centre of the cbd would it be better?

I'm in the same area, (been in two different apartments in the area actually) and you get great speeds most of the time. You'll see approx 10+ Mb down and 1Mb up but recently I've been experiencing the slow connection issue mentioned here (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=65&topicid=42222) which makes it completely unusable. As with all things WxC, caveat emptor.
