Hi,

Thanks to upgrades and number portability my employer migrated the cellphone fleet to Vodafone and I picked up an HTC Snap that was originally on the Telecom network.

Mostly it works, but from the voicemail number to opening splash screen, it still retains remnants of it's Telecom origins.  I've recently upgraded the ROM to Windows Mobile 6.5.

After a few weeks I decided to try MMS which didn't work.  I've googled around everywhere and seen bits and pieces of how to configure MMS (and often a lot more it would seem) but not for this model, not for one migrated from Telecom.

I've tried a number of things, but they fail, mostly I suspect due to model and/or carrier differences.  There's also a lot of built-in (I suspect) Telecom configuration ("TelecomData," "TelecomMMS") which I haven't found a way to access, edit or delete.

If you have some authoritative guidance it would be much appreciated.

Hamish.

I just returned a HTC Snap to Telecom NZ so can't get the menus to you *sigh* but the Vodafone configurations are these ones and you can change everything - nothing is locked.

Those look familiar and I have tried them, the problem in matching your suggested config arises here:

MMS: Voda MMS

There is no setting for "MMS:" in Settings|Connections|Advanced (all the others are there)

Menu | Edit Connections | GPRS Connections

If I go to Settings|Connections|GPRS|New then while I can create:
1 Internet, Connects to The Internet, Access Point www.vodafone.net.nz

There is no "connect to:" value for "MMS Network" indicated here:

2 Voda MMS, Connects to MMS Network, Access Point live.vodafone.com

All I have as an option is "TelecomMMS" which didn't (nor was it expected to) work for Vodafone.
