We are close to our cap which renews in a couple of days but I want to know when you get throtteled: is it midnight or is it as soon as they detect that you've gone over etc?

I think the midnight after you go over, but I've had a couple of times where it has taken 2 days before I was slowed down.

Me and my mates realised a while ago that your speeds go back to normal the midnight before the next billing cycle starts. Not sure if this is still the case.

Pretty sure it will also happen if you have gone over and you reboot your modem (or get disconected).

If you are really lucky (like a few people that I know) even when you go over your bandwidth cap it doesn't slow down your speed (even though he isn't on a plan where you pay extra if you go over, he IS suppose to get dial-up speeds).
