Looking at an option to replace a landline with a mobile. My in laws find it harder to hear via a mobile phone than using a traditional landline phone. Is there a product that you  can use a mobile number on a traditional handset? . The problem I find with mobiles is they always seem to be on charge . Was thinking of a seperate plan just for home line, but seems cheaper to just pay 15 a month for a traditional landline plan.

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum

What about something like this?

edit added photos due to aliexpress having adblock & tracking issues

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005196187102.html

or if no 3.5mm jack or can't use USB C converter

there appears to be a Bluetooth one

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32826965933.html

I haven't used either of these, so additional googling may be required.

If they use hearing aids there is a good chance the hearing aids support Bluetooth, so could be paired with a cellphone and the audio comes through the  hearing aid.

Landlines are a magnet for remote support scam calls, for this reason I advise ditching the landline.

Be careful.

VoLTE will soon become a requirement so it must be able to do 4G calling/VoLTE.

I don't think any provider has confirmed if this works and is supported!

I have pushed them on their Facebook Page several times regarding VoLTE and these

they have not been able to give a clear definitive answer

Mother-in-law use one of these, paired with their phones:

Buy the Uniden XDECT8315 Cordless Phone Bluetooth Pair up to 4 Mobile Phones -... ( XDECT8315 ) online - PBTech.co.nz

This looks perfect thank you, thanks for all the ideas

Hopefully if people have them on one, they have got the email about it if approprate like I posted in another thread. That might get the people peddling these phones into action.

I have a feeling that calling is the only feature that someone buying one of these cares about so it better work.
