I've downloaded trixbox to put onto an old machine of mine - this is a 2.8 Hyper Threading machine that I don't use anymore. It currently runs XP Home.

I've burned the latest Trixbox to a disc and booted with it - the Trixbox screen came up with no problems at all, however when  Ipress enter to install nothing happens.

IT seems as though the machine isn't recognising that there is a KB attached to it when Trixbox tries to install. However, using just XP it owrks perfectly.

Anyone else have this issue, or know a fix?

Thanks

USB or PS2 keyboard? Can you access the bios when booting up?

Good point,  I used to have a computer that would happliy run linux,  but to install it I needed to connect the keyboard & mouse using usb/ps2 adaptors.  Once installed,  I could re-boot using a usb mouse & usb keyboard.

have seen this a bit on non windows based machines.
Go into the bios (you will need ps2 keyboard for this) and look for USB Keyboard or USB Legacy Support, chances are they will be off, set to ON.

Modern motherboards have the dedicated USB Keyboard support in the bios, but older machines it is fixed by the USB Legacy support setting.
