Hi all, I have the above hardware and have connected it all, carefully following all the instructions.

At present, I have no dial tone on the phone and am racking my brains as to what might be wrong.

Xnet support point the finger toward the router, saying it may not be VoIP-enabled. My research on the interwebs says this is not necessarily so but I can't find a way to get things going successfully.

One other point, the "Phone line 1" light doesn't light up at all. I've used several RJ11 cables to rule out a faulty cable as being the cause.

Has anyone got this setup working successfully or can offer advice?

Are you using OpenVFX or the auto provisioned VFX product?

Does the PAP2 actually have an internal IP address? You can find this by using the IVR, dialling **** and then 110# from a handset.

The first question I will ask is has the PAP2T been provisioned. By that I mean (by memory) have you given Xnet the mac address of the PAP2T so that they can set up your phone number to that mac address and then once that is done they have a very good instruction video on what to do with your PAP2T (Here is the link http://www.xnet.co.nz/instructions/pap2t.shtml) so that it will grab its configuration settings from Xnet. If this has been done then I would suggest if you have a friendly neighbor who wouldnt mind you plugging your PAP2T into their router to see if your router is at fault or not.

Hi both, thanks for your fast replies.

All solved now although not sure how. I called Xnet support, went out for a few hours then noticed everything had resolved itself. Have a sneaking suspicion Xnet pulled the old "switch it off, switch it back on again" trick at their end and got my line properly working.

In any case, it answers the oft-posted question about the Voda/huawei modem playing nicely with the Linksys ATA. They seem to for the moment ...
