Hi All,

Just sitting on the train browsing, and had a weird popup announcing that Windows 10 is Ready, with what looked to be a Windows Update icon
As I am running on Mobile data I closed it, and now can't find it again...

Does anyone know how and when W10 is being delivered ? I haven't take much notice of it yet... but thought I'd have at least heard that it was coming soon...

Anyone else seen that ?

Sounds bogus to me.

That does not sound right. I am running Insider editions and this has not popped up on my machines. Win 10 is still weeks from RTM

What device were you browsing on?  laptop, phone, tablet?  What OS does said device run?

As above, I'd say it's almost certainly bogus.

were you browsing any dodgy websites at the time?  Windows 10 definitely not rolling out unless you actively go force it!

No just GZ :)

I've had a bit of a search around and it seems that a recent Windows update may have installed some stuff to do with the W10 rollout.

http://www.windowscentral.com/windows-10-notification-may-have-been-made-available-windows-7-and-81

I'm thinking that the "Windows 10 Ready" may actually have been part of a pre qualification check, as in your PC will be able to run W10.

As mentioned in the windowscentral link, there is a bunch of stuff in ...\system32\GWX that I still have to explore that seems to have something to do with this...

I've also had a Windows 10 Technical Preview tile show up, the date of that installation matches the win update and GWX install dates.

I've recently installed update KB3035583 on 10 near-new well-specced PCs running Windows 7 SP1 - all capable of running windows 10.

But I've had no "Windows 10 Ready" messages yet.

The very same thing happened to me.

I tried clicking on the Windows 10 is ready popup, not sure if clicked on it, it happened rather quickly and the popup was gone.

Haven't seen it since.

I was just doing Windows 8.1 updates.

Happened a couple days ago.

just got it on three machines
two laptops, one desktop
different networks and logins (all domain logins, not Microsoft)
all three running Win 8.1 Enterprise
activation legit on all three and only legit sites visited
blue popup seemingly comes from charms bar on the PC's, but looks a little blurry.
Wonder if MS will comment eventually

Yeah I have had it half a dozen times now, I haven't managed to figure out what triggers it.

If you're quick enough, the link on the popup takes you to Windows Update.

I just got this on a desktop and laptop. Now have an icon in the system tray which gives info about Windows 10 coming. Just don't install KB3035583 if you don't want to see it.
Looks like this.

Would be a bit stupid if it is popping up on Enterprise seeing as there won't be an upgrade path from 7 and 8 to 10 on Enterprise. Decline it on the WSUS server if it is going to offer it on Enterprise clients.

Is this what you're seeing if you click on it?
https://imgur.com/a/j4Q1Z - Users on Reddit are reporting it aswell. Appears to be related to an optional Windows update

The little white Windows flag popped up on one of my older PCs today.

I have 8 PCs running legit copies of Windows 7 Pro, all fully updated, but only one of them shows the flag.

On clicking the flag, I get this series of "Get Windows 10" windows:

1. Reserve your free upgrade

2. Great, your upgrade is reserved!

3. All done for now

I got this too.

Happy to install on one of my laptops, but would prefer to download the ISO for other machines and install at leisure.

Are Vista users part of the free upgrade?
