HI Guys

wasn't sure where to put this in the forum.

So I work in this company who are opening a 300 seated restaurant. The Manager in charge has asked me to look for a waiter table management system.

Basically, the Manager wants to divide the restaurant into sections. Then he wants a device for the waiter in each section that would buzz when the order for a table in their section is ready.

for example, Table 1- 10 Section 1, Table 11 - 20 Section 2 and so on. When the order for table 3 is ready the chef will press a button for table 3 which would let the waiter in section 1 know that an order is ready for their section.

Can anybody recommend something similar they have worked with

Really appreciate your help

Cheers

When I was a waiter many moons ago, each waiter carried a buzzer like the ones used to let you know a table was ready at the restaurant. They had a board for the chef with the names on a whiteboard and each waiters buzzer number. It worked quite well, we just carried the buzzers on ourselves, out of site, like in an apron. You can get the buzzer setup on ebay or similar. These guys have staff specific pagers https://www.vectron.com.au/hospitality-paging-systems/

I've seen quite few places using little tablets for this in the US, and (I think) at Lone Stars in NZ.

Yeah, we were in Dunedin recently at the Cobb & Co in the Railway Station and waiters all had tablets. It was packed out solid with diners and it all seem to run smoothly.

I've used a system called OneTap by Wiz Bang in New Zealand.

It's pretty nice to use - you can configure buttons, pricing, etc on the main touch screen.

I've never used the function for portable tablet ordering, etc, but they do have it.

I'm not sure if it will do exactly as you ask as to whether the chef will be able to let a certain waiter know. You may have to ask them about that?

Thanks, Guys for all the info. I also found another one that we currently use for guest paging.
