I am wanting to purchase something from Amazon, but wondering if they are experiencing the freight issues etc that Aliexpress is currently having?
Not in any rush for the item, but don't want it to just disappear.

Ordered something from Amazon using the cheapest option on 7 Nov, ETA 26 Nov, actually arrived on 18th Nov.
Just one example of course.

Me too. Usually choose the cheapest shipping option and good tend to arrive earlier. Biggest problem I found is that the tracking information doesn't get updated much after arriving in NZ and usually the 'last mile' is the slowest.
my most recent order was in october, ordered on the 15th and received the 27th
I ordered something from Ali on 20 oct and It still hasnt arrived.. the tracking it appears to have vanished after it left china..
Thanks guys. Will place order tonight.
Item is about 1.4Kg and 250x210x70mm. Packaging will increase that a bit, so hopefully won't slow things down too much.
A bit late to the party, but my most recent packages arrived thirteen and nine days ahead of their estimated delivery dates. Cheapest shipping.
Oh well looks like I'm not as lucky as you guys. Ordered on 22 Nov, shipped with DPD, and expected delivery date was 8th Dec. Now four days late with updated delivery on 9-14th Dec. So have to keep fingers crossed and hope for the best.
Seems that if it doesn't arrive on the 14th I can request replacement or refund?
Tracking is non existent!

My latest (some Blu-rays ordered last week) arrived in 5 days. Still waiting for one from the UK though, which was sent the previous week.
Requested refund this morning and got reply advising refund had been processed a few hours later. Very happy with Amazon's quick response, but would have much preferred to have got the Christmas present I ordered for myself.
Order 3rd Nov arrived 26 Nov, express shipping. Most of that time was waiting for Amazon to ship the order, once DHL got hold of it they got it here with their usual efficiency. The $8 extra for DHL / UPS is worthwhile to me over using cheap / DPD, though note that DHL delivers themselves and UPS gives the package to Aramex. Aramex seem to deliver Amazon packages fairly promptly, compared with their local deliveries which can take longer to get a package around NZ that it takes other courier companies to get packages around the world.
First order from Amazon and didn't see any shipping options, so went with their preferred option(DPD).
I will probably try again late Jan of Feb, if the item is still available. Will look for shipping options.

Not every Amazon product has an express shipping option, many will only have a standard shipping option. It just depends on what DC it ships from, whether it's fulfilled by Amazon or the supplier, and the size and price.
I've probably had ~12 packages from Amazon this year at home and work and standard has typically 10-14 days regardless of what their dates say. Express is often as quick as 4-5 days.
Finally got around to reordering this again.
Shipped by DPD with delivery on the 9th. Delivery date was then changed to the 6th and it arrived on the 7th. A couple of days earlier than originally advised, so all happy now.
I noticed that on the 8th it became available from Aussie, and about $20 cheaper than the USA.
