I am just curious about how long you have to wait. My area is not scheduled on the chorus website so I guess I will be waiting awhile.

Sometime before 2019. If I moved 5 houses up the street I could have it now.

It's there already for my house and my area. I am waiting for Snap to really speed it up and setup that handover connection in Hamilton so I can sign up.

Folks with fibre.....
How long did it take for the fibre to go in the pipe once it was in the ground?

They've just started in my street and I'm keen to know how long before 8 might actually have dark fibre at the door.

Sometime before June 2014, no exact date yet.

We have had UFB at work for the last 4 months though.

The fibre actualy only goes in on the day of your installation - they are only installing a microducting plumbing system down the street - there isn't any fibre in it.

When you request a service like a GPON (generaly known as a UFB connection)  or P2P connection from a RSP or 'Dark Fibre' connection from a network operator - the microducting will be extnded to 'Your Door' only then will a fibre be inserted (blown) into the mircoducting

Before July 2014... Feels like an eternity especially when your current ADSL only gives you 2.5Mbps down. Newton area here.
