Started around 6.30 pm and lasted for around 30-40 mins. I believe even GZ was down.

I visited GeekZone within the outage, at that very moment I got a 500 error.

Yep, nothing worse than checking geekzone to see if there's an outage, and getting a 500 error lol
At least it helped me confirm it was likely to be Cloudflare :)

I had multiple sites affected, mostly because backend api(s) became inaccessible.
Just finished writing the incident reports for the people who pay me :)

I noticed this as well, thought Spark was having issues. Looks like everyone was. I couldn't get to Geekzone either - checked the Twitter feed (that one was still working) for any outages but nothing there.

Only noticed when I saw everyone else moaning about a little outage, after it was fixed. 🤣

When I had internet problems the other day that seemed almost site specific I did wonder if was it was something like akamai or cloudflare down.  Turned out to be 2degrees had blacklisted a range of ips which my static fell under...fun fun fun.   But you had partial internet at the time.

Yes I did. Was trying to find out how to read the ripple control thingy in my meter box, to work out if it was that, or if my hot water cylinder was dead all of a sudden. There were some search results for geekzone in google actually, but they repeatedly failed, as did many other results in google relating to troubleshooting & repairs of hot water cylinders.

Interestingly, the ripple control setting was the opposite of what a CSR at my power company told me it should be. OFF means no power getting to the HW cylinder, NOT ripple control is currently off/not being activated as per the CSR. Later that night the switch flicked to ON and my Hot water cylinder sprang back to life. First time I've ever been aware of ripple control affecting my supply of hot water, and been on this plan for 17 winters now. Glad to not be needing an electrician or plumber today (as I was told I would need), and also that the internet is behaving again!
