Well I live in Christchurch and I am moving into a flat very soon. Now we don't have internet in the flat yet but are looking into it. I use about 25gb data myself per month and other flatmate around 3gb (big difference I know)

We were wondering what would be the best internet plan with reasonable speed and reasonable pricing (We kinda need it cheap)

Also is their a way to get broadband at a reasonable price and data allowance without having a home line or is their any good Homeline + Broadband packages...

Thanks in advance

do you know if you are on an unbundled exchange? that will make a difference.

If you are, and have a vodafone mobile account, then their naked DSL plan will probably be the best option for you.

I dont think vf has unbundled anything in Christchurch.

Try compass wireless http://www.compass.net.nz/residential/internet/wireless_net.asp

Or slingshot naked dsl $79.95 per month for 25gb and $10 for an extra 5gb. Also gives you unlimited 2-8am so if you torrent its great.

$90 for Snap 30GB NDSL. Based in Christchurch and should be faster than Slingshot.

Good point, didnt realise snap would be that cheap. They would  be way faster than slingshot!

Maxnet's 30GB plan is the same price too: http://www.maxnet.co.nz/connectivity/pure_broadband/Standard-Pure-DSL.php

The NDSL plans seem best value around that mark.
