Hi all,

I was given a 500gb SSD (Samsung 860 EVO 2.5" 500GB SSD SATA3 MZ-76E500B) for Christmas, swapped it in. Now I get "No Display found" on both monitors. The monitors will briefly recognise a pc has been connected, flash up the "No Display found" message and then return to sleep mode.

It was quite dusty so I did brush it out carefully and used compressed air to get rid of most of the dust. So maybe I have knocked something, but I can't see what.

• No system beeps.
• Nothing displayed on screen from the pc (aside from no display message).
• Lights are on, on the motherboard. Including a light stays on all the time on the mobo with a label next to it "SB PWR" is red which may be relevant.

 

1. I disconnected all drives. No change.
2. I removed ram. No change.
3. I reset ram. No change.
4. I removed the graphics card. No change.
5. I tried the motherboard HDMI port. No change.
6. I’ve checked all power cables. No change.

• The fans are working, except the rear fan. But I'm not sure if it should be running when the PC is turned on the first time.
• Graphics card fan working.
• Fan cooling CPU working.
• One monitor connected via Display Port, the other connected to HDMI on the card.

Google is giving me loads of hits, but disparate and unresolved answers a lot of the time.

Any ideas?
