say about 6 weeks ago i was hosting averagely.
I had a 2006 360 which had just gotten the RROD and
thankfully it was still under warranty so i got it fixed. Now ever since i got it back i have been
hosting way better than what i used to and i was getting full green connection off like everyone almost and i assume this is because they replaced my ethernet ports etc with up to date new ones.

now aprox 2 days ago i was using crypt load to download some videos and i got it to try use the automatic reconnect for rapidshare so that it automatically resets the router to change the IP; therefore having no wait time for rapidshare free users. after doing that i went on live and found i couldnt host and couldnt connect to certain people now.

i restarted my modem/router several times, reset to factory setting and made sure that my UpNP was enabled and that my firewall was alloiwing all traffic through so that i would have no trouble connecting [this is what i had my previous settings on before the stuff up]. but anyway for some reason i still cannot connect even though i have the right settings...i jst want my host back and connection back.

any ideas?

note: a few months ago i had a similar problem [not with crpyt load just totally random] and i got a new modem sent in [same one] and all was good. any chances something happened to my modem and crypt load was just a conincidence or??

Have you tried port forwarding? it sounds like a nat issue.

yup i have a game/application sharing feature on my gateway which
lets me select my xbox 360 device and enter it as xbox live, once i do this
it automatically port forwards the 3 ports.
but considering i have my gateway firewall disable and my upnp enabled i shouldnt
have to port forward any way.

i just dont get it, perfect one min, then another min its not working the way it should.
