My good friend has finally confirmed that he's going to buy my old PC innards off me, and right now I'm interested in the Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-D3.
I've been told that CrossFire-only boards like the Z68XP-D3 could be patched to support SLI, so that people don't have to shell out extra for nVidia-licensed boards. It seems to have been confirmed for older chipsets like the Intel X58 and P35/P45, but from what I've Googled, those articles seem not to have been updated for the Z68. Anyone had a crack at it?
