I have managed to pair my V525 and ipaq 1940 and am able to move files to and from the phone. However, when I try and send a text message from the ipaq or connect to the internet through the phone the ipaq tells me that it can not find the serial port for the phone. I have spoken at length to Vodafone and HP but no one can help me.

Please does someone know the answer...?

What are you using to send SMS from your iPAQ? Not all phones use the same commands. For example I used SimpleSMS with my Sony T39m and it was great. With the Nokia 3650 it can only send, not read. And with the Sony Ericsson P800 it will not send or receive.

Have you followed our Bluetooth Guide to configure the h1940 for dial-up?

Thanks for the advice. Yes I have been using Simple SMS. However, it seems more than coincidental that I get the same message regarding the serial port when i try to dial up the internet. I have also used Vodafone Connect Me software which i downloaded from their website but also get the same message.

I will however, try the set up for the 1940 as suggested.

Many thanks
