I can't get my 5455 to see the Thinkpad or visa versa. Followed David Hettle's tutor to the letter. Not much luck though with the thinkpad saying there are no bluetooth devices nearby.

When reaching the iPAq screen where it is supposed to display my computer looks then nothing.

Bluetooth on the laptop does not find any devices. Logo is in the system tray and everything appears to be working and properly configured

Firewall disabled.

I've read all of David's stuff, gone to the IBM website and searched the web. Are there any resources I can read on how to set this up, or am I missing something simple?

My Thinkpad has Bluetooth and 802.11 built in from the factory.

Wonder what the heck I'm doing wrong.

Thanks,

-john

Have you checked if the iPaq is in discovarable mode?

Open the Bluetooth panel and look for "Let other devices see me" and "Let other devices connect to me". Make sure the second one is set to "Bonded devices" after you do the configuration, for added security.

Geesh,

Guess you have to bush the bluetooth hardbutton on the Thinkpad to turn it on :(

What a bonehead I am.

Sorry for the bother,

-john
