The first placed I stayed PIA worked with out problems. However at my current location PIA will not connect and if I try to access the Privacy in Action web site the connection is reset.
Can anyone offer any ideas to get it working?
michaelmurfy: It’ll be your current location is blocking VPN’s.
Have you tried connecting to a different exit node for testing purposes? Maybe there are routing issues to the node you are trying to connect to. I can confirm that I am currently having no issues with PIA.
I'd be really surprised if a hotel is blocking VPN connections. A lot of business customers (which is a large chunk of hotels business) require access to their companies VPNs.
May be your hotel is using some DNS servers that block DNS lookup to a number of VPN providers.
On your android device, click on the wifi connection you are using, then click advance option. Change the DNS servers to 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11, and then try again.
larknz: That's what I assumed. The wifi is fast and unlimited, so I suppose you can't have everything. Luckily I'm not here to long.
Have you read the T&C's of the hotels fast & unlimtied Wi-Fi?
