Hi,

Problem I am having is this....
I have a Dell D400 laptop, Bluetooth adapter installed and working fine. A new Samsung D500 mobile phone, with Bluetooth activated and the device set to 'Shown To All'. However when i add the Samsung to my Bluetooth deviceson the laptop the laptop does NOT install the Bluetooth modem needed to use the mobile phone for DUN. The 2 devices see each other and 'Pair' but will not work as a modem. I tried the Samsung on another D400 laptop set up the same way and that too does NOT install the Bluetooth modem. If i add my mobile phone (a Sony Ericsson Z600) to the laptop that works fine?!!?? If i add the Samsung to a Dell D600 laptop it works fine on there?!!!! WTF?
All laptops are running Windows XP with SP2.

thanks in advance...

Are you using a Dell built-in Bluetooth, or an external USB adapter? Interesting. What software are you using, Widcomm or the Microsoft Windows XP SP2 built-in stack?

Hi,

I am using the Dell on-board Bluetooth adapter and the driver is i think the Dell Radio(??) driver. I wanted to re-install the Widcomm driver but couldn't locate it on the CD.. :-(
thanks.

I had the impression the Dell driver is actually Widcomm. Anyway, have you looked this guide for some ideas?
