I have a BT1300 Bluetooth printer server connected to my HP7110 all in one printer. It works perfectly with my Compaq Armada laptop running Windows ME that is fitted with a Belkin Bluetooth dongle. With this in mind I also bought a Sony A217S laptop that has built in bluetooth and runs Windows XP however I cannot install the blutooth printer server.
The Sony can see the BT1300, but it won't install the printer no matter what I try. If I try to send a file via bluetooth, the format is screwed up. I really had the perfect system as the compaq could surf the internet using wireless G and then print wirelessly using Bluetooth, however the Sony will only surf and I have to connect to the printer using a USB cable to print which is a real pain as the printer is sited remotely.

I really would be most grateful of your help as I am really stuck. HP support didn't help and Sony require that you have the whole set up in front of you which isn't easy as I am working when they are open (Their support is office hours only and not weekends)

I would be most grateful of any help you may have to offer.

The most important thing is to find out if the Sony supports the BPP (Basic Print Profile) or BIP (Basic Imaging Profile). I don't think it does - the Sony Bluetooth software is really not the best one out there.
