A few days ago I have changed my old D-Link ADSL Modem 502T to a new TP-Link ADSL Modem. Cool

At the same time I'm using a TP-Link wireless router (WR941ND).

Here the problem comes, all the wired internet work well but all wireless network were stopped.

Maybe because the TP-link router and modem have the same IP address: 192.168.1.1

So I try to put the RJ45 cable from the router's WAN port to LAN port.

And the wireless network start to working.......for 3 minutes.Frown

And then you have to re-connect the internet every 3 minutes on every laptop, mobile phone. It making me crazy!Yell

I have send an e-mail to the tp-link company but no answer.

So I want to get some help in here. Thanks everybody.Smile

You need to disable DHCP on your wireless router, also you need to configure your wireless router to obtain an IP address automatically.

You should connect both boxes through their LAN ports.

The ADSL modem will allocate the router an IP address and will show this address in the DHCP section of its web page.

You have two options - do as above and use the other router solely as an AP, or put the modem in half bridge mode and use the WR941 as your router.

Is the new modem a TD-8840 or the 8840T?

Note: The 8840T does not have half bridge (aka ip extension), the 8840 does.

Here's an old guide for setting up half bridge (this makes the WR941ND do the bulk of the work DHCP, NAT, routing etc), different hardware but covers what you need to do:

Here's a guide for connecting two routers in wan bypass mode (this makes the modem do the bulk of the work):
