1: I got the impression that these things were supposed to remember the last state, but they always reset to the cool setting after they've been off. How do i get them to retain the last used state? They don't come with any instructions, and I'm having difficulty finding them online, partially because:

2: The model sold here seems to be different to what people are talking about overseas. On amazon etc. they're selling SceneSwitch units with three settings. As usual we seem to be stuck with some half baked version that only has two modes. Does anyone know why?

I have these bulbs in a few rooms. Mine retain the last state no issues. I did have the issue you are talking about initially but I was flicking the light off and on to quickly when testing if they kept the last state. Mine only remember the last state if untouched for more than 20 seconds ish. I really like them. We have them on the dimmest setting before bed and that’s what they are on when we get up so you don’t burn your eyes out with a bright LED first thing.

So do yours have 2 or 3 settings? Because mine only have 2 and they're both very bright. One is just a different colour temp.

Also, I am definitely leaving them off for more than 20 seconds. If I have them on warm white, then switch them off and leave them overnight, they will be in cool white mode when I switch them on in the morning.

Yes. 3 settings here.

Sounds like you have different ones to me. I got mine 6 months ago. Maybe they have changed.

There is a daylight/orange one, and a 3 stage orange/really orange/totally orange and dim version of them.

Found some of the 3 setting ones, and like you guys say, they save the setting. Not sure why Philips can't have consistency in how their products operate.

I've noticed that if I cycle these ones too fast they get out of sync. They also buzz quite loudly. Good thing my hearing is going to hell because 8 years ago this would have been a deal breaker. Overall I'm happy with them.
