Hi guys, I want an alarm, and thought if I get the attached, I can also dip my toe into home automation:

It's a Z wave controller, so I presume I can link it to other things I might buy in future (door lock, lights, camera).  It appears to be able to sinc to Ring cameras and Phillips Hue lights.

Does anyone have any comment about whether this is a good idea/product or not?  Reviews seem OK, but I don't know much about Z-Wave.
