Hi all.
I'm trying to find a way to remotely view/access an iPad to help the owner when they get stuck. (Elderly lady, not overly savvy with technology.)
They are in a different city and the iPad is connected via wifi to a dsl connection, they do not own a pc.
Jailbreaking isn't really an option.

Has anyone come across anything that actually works, I've had a fair go at searching the net but most forum posts either suggest jailbreak and Veency or that they won't have any questions as an iPad is so easy to use. This person already has questions which her family would like to be able to help her with if they could only see what is on the screen at the same time.

Pretty much seems a long shot but has anyone been in the same situation and found a solution?

You could possible use Airplay mirroring

you will have to setup some sort of vpn as it requires both units to be on the same subnet.

You also need an Apple TV to use that.

I don't think there are any apps available that will do what you want as Apple don't allow the access required to view a live screen or do remote control of the device.
The only way would be to Jailbreak and use an app that does what you want.

If you were to jailbreak it. install an app called display recorder ($6), you can view the screen through a web browser, well i know it works for the iPhone, so i see no reason it wouldn't on the iPad. You can also control the screen, its not the fastest, but it works.
