Hey guys,

Just bought a new iphone 3G and Inserted a telecom XT sim, Bizzarely the reception is much worse than any other of my XT phones even right next to each other and wondering if a Vodafone sim will do any better?

You won't get much better than Telecom XT for your iPhone if using a Vodafone SIM card. Vodafone is 2100MHz 3G only in the main cities, which means everywhere else your iPhone will be operating on 2G only.

The RF performance of the iPhone is certainly not as as good as many other handsets. Comparing the signal bars on the screen isn't an accurate way of comparing things though.
