Hi guys, at my wits end here with my IPhone 4.

I bought it from in October, had four and half months trouble free use on XT pay as you go, it was so damn good and fast etc that in December i got rid of my Naked DSL broadband and have just used my IPhone tethered for internet etc.

But in past two weeks i have had some major data connection issues, it started with me wondering why i had no emails in a 4-5hr period which is unusual, when i checked i found that i couldn't access anything at all, no web sites, no email, no Facebook, no apps that connect to the internet would work at all. Restarting IPhone made no difference at all, i would just assume the XT network was down etc and wait until an hour or two later i heard a ping from all my emails arriving at once. This started happening pretty much 2-3 times a day, i would spend half the day with no problems at all, and the other half with a eerie silent IPhone that was not connected to anything (the phone still seemed ok btw, just data network).

Anyway Friday night it got worse, for some 10hrs+ nothing, no connection! By this point of two weeks nonsense i am starting to think maybe it isn't an XT issue? So yesterday morning i did a full wipe and re-setup of my IPhone, i didn't use an ITunes backup i just wiped phone and re-installed everything with a new device name etc, a fresh start i hoped.. When it was up and running the XT data worked fine for an hour or two, since then it stopped and now i been sat here with no data connection from my IPhone in over 24hrs!?

I really at a loss, anyone else with XT had any issues lately? I am in centre of Hamilton and had 100% coverage just fine since i got the IPhone. Is it my IPhone? Anyone else ever had these problems? Should i call Apple? Who do i call..... hmm damn.

Of course added issue of no internet at home at all now, as i used the IPhone for tethering too, sat here in net cafe that's how bad its become...

Would appreciate any help guys, no idea whether to call Apple or Telecom....

Yeah kinda get the issue you're having. Every now and then i'll have no 3g data connection even though iphone4 will be at full signal strength.
I find it comes back on in about a minute or switching phone to flight mode for about one minute makes it work again.
My issue doesn't sound as bad yours though.

Iphone 4 XT happens to me all over the country.
