Gfs Desire X I bought off trademe in November is restarting itself constantly. It was a great phone, would like to get another one of those or similar (HTC Android preferred).

JBHIFI offer it NEW for $270 with a one month contract, so for second hand no warrantee would expect it for much less, especially since the last one has gone faulty for no apparent reason after 6 months!

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you.

have you tried a factory reset, I see there is a lot of info on this if you use google.

Has it been updated?

As to cheap phone, if you want new and under $270 it gets into the cheaper offerings which come with numerous reasons why its cheaper.

The Huawai Y300 is a good looking phone and seems pretty reasonable price.

Yep tried factory reset, also tried leaving it off over night a couple times just in case it was to do with the motherboard overheating as some other users have said. All available updates direct to phone have been loaded, but I haven't tried it connected to the PC software... Might give that a go in case there's firmware stuff.

When its switched off and been on the charger it won't turn on again till you take out the battery and put it back in. Tis odd. Otherwise aside from restarting itself maybe 3-4 times a night or more (and more during the day) everything else seems to work just fine.

You're probably right on price, $270 is so low I guess I'm best to buy it new.

I skimmed a couple of forums and some mentioned about problems with incompatible basebands so may pay to check latest available.

If you have a mind you could check out XDA and flash a custom Rom, it may or may not fix it.

Check out the price comparisons on here as you can get some of the older phones quite cheap from some dealers.
