Hi every one

I have two XServes that have come out of a school after a recent network upgrade. Both were going in May this year, however they have been sitting for a while. One is 6 years + old and I have no information about it.

The newer one is 2.26GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon (quad-core) with 6GB (3x2GB) ram. There are no hard drives but there are some of the drive kits available.

I also have an old, huge UPS (rack mounted).

Is anyone interested in this gear? Or any of the switches or cabinets that we have taken out of the school. We are hoping to get some money for this gear.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Where is the gear located?

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.

The gear is in a school in Mt Roskill in Auckland. I don't have a copy of the serial numbers for the equipment.

If anyone is interested please pm me. I can arrange a time for a closer look at what's there.

We are open to offers but will be looking at around the $500 for the two. This is a school and every dollar counts :)

What cabinets have you got? I'd be keen for a 6 - 12U comms cabinet.

I'll take a look at the cabinets when I am at school tomorrow and will shoot through some pictures.
