Do you or someone you know own one of these?

If its in mint/excellent cosmetic condition (ie no scratches or other markings) I would be very keen to buy it.

Price im willing to pay will reflect the condition of your item. Please don't suggest I just buy another brand or something different as this needs to replace an identical one who's outer casing was unfortunately broken.

Not a reply unfortunately, but... three hundred amps? The best, meaning highest-current cells designed for use in power tools, are rated at 10-15C, so maybe 20-40A. There's no way this can deliver 300A, particularly if it's going through an inverter to get it up to 12V.

Big Clive has a teardown of a very similar device, looks like they take 12V directly off the LiIon cells, so the charger is a boost/buck converter from 5V and the native voltage is 12V. Still can't see how they could get 300A out of the cells without a vent with flame event.

Edited to add: So he got 160A with the battery pack blown up like a balloon within seconds, surprisingly no pyrotechnics.

Power tool batteries are still chosen for good cycle life, safety, and a reasonable capacity. Throw those away and you get RC batteries.
