Hi All - I have an ML350 G8 which has two full bays of disks and looking to add a third.

From what I can see I need another expander - the backplane won't work in this case.

Ebay pitches these units at $650+ USD (and so so much shipping) and googlefu hasn't helped me in NZ.

So I need either: 661717-B21 (LFF expander)

Or: 661714-B21 (SFF Expander)

Anyone got the hookups?

I would also like such a thing.. ebay prices are just stupidly high imho.

Probably no help, but I've got a dead DL380 Gen8 with SFF bays.  If your Google-Fu is able to tell you that the part numbers are the same, you are welcome to it.  Auckland CBD location or can ship.

Thanks to @Dynamic for the offer.

Unfortunately, only has the backplane - not the expander.

Still looking :)

Hi,

I've done this in the past to a G8 350P. And recently added x2 drive cages to a ML110G10. I'm 80% sure they are the same. Like for like they are pretty close.

I have a drive cage LFF G10 sitting here, not an expander but again pretty sure they are the same.

So in other words, try a G10 cage?
